This looks like being one hell of a camera. Pity the price will be so high, I would love to have one.

Talking about being in the good books - your royalties from the Ironwood & Isac Publications book should cover the 850 plus a coupla lenses! :-)

I'm still waiting for the cheques to start rolling in, I wonder if Isac has received his yet.

I'll have to do some more work - would definetly love to try one out on landscapes. 36mp is great, but another 25% sounds awesome.

I am interested to see what the in camera focus stacking is like, could be good for macro work.

Yes, not cheap. I checked out a few Aussie retailer pre-order prices - $4999- $5399.
If you were going to buy one, I reckon if you wait a few months, prices would come down a bit.

I might look at one next year - hopefully will be able to get wholesale/retailer discount through my lecturing job. $5K is a lot of lecture though.

Even if I had 5K to splurge on a camera, I would still need some lenses for it, there's another few grand.
        Cheers, Brad.

I think I am pretty well covered with lenses from 20mm thru 400mm, so that parts OK.

My wider lenses are DX lenses, so would need to cover up to 70mm with FX lenses. I think the new Sigma 12-24 f4, and a 50 f1.4 would do me, but that would take the total to well over $7000. Would need to sell a kidney or something.

I can vouch for the Nikon 50mm f1.4 its an excellent lens.

A couple of links to Fstoppers, people are getting their hands on them now.
A guy on another forum I am on, has one now. I have never seen so much hype about a new camera before.
